Due to the standardization differences between different enterprises in the early stage, LC, SC, FC, ST and other different types of optical fiber jumper joints have been developed. The application scenarios of these different types of joints are also different. They are not interoperable and each has its own characteristics.Fast (FS) to introduce you to the following common types of fiber optic jumper:

1、FC fiber jumper: first developed by Japan NTT, FC is the abbreviation of English Ferrule Connector. The outer protective sleeve is metal sleeve and the fastening method is screw buckle.It is generally used in ODF side, and most used in distribution frame.It has the advantages of strong fastening and dust-proof.

2、SC fiber optic jumper: developed by Japan NTT company, the structure and size of the pin and coupling sleeve are exactly the same as FC type.Standard square joint, fastening mode of plug pin latch lock, without rotation, commonly used as GBIC optical module connector, used in routers.It has the characteristics of low price and small fluctuation of access loss.Usually used on 100G base-fx connections.

3、LC fiber optic jumper: developed by the Bell (Bell) Institute, connector similar to but smaller than the SC.The size of the pin and sleeve is 1.25mm, which is half of the size used by ordinary SC and FC.Connect the SFP optical module, often used in routers, to a certain extent can increase the density of fiber optic connectors in the fiber distribution frame.

4、ST fiber jumper: the shell is round, fastening way for the screw buckle, the fiber core is exposed, the plug inserted after rotating half a week has a bounding fixed.Often used as a 10Base -- F connector, mostly used in optical fiber distribution frames.
